VŠVP became a full member of the The International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF), and the consequent audit inspection of required standards was in 2005: We fulfilled the required criteria and were accredited until the next audit process in 2010, when the next inspection takes place. VŠVP is the only organization associated with guide dog training in the Slovak Republic which is a member of IGDF.

The Federation unites more than 60 schools around the world, performs checks, and guarantees the quality of their activities in accordance with international standards. For member organizations, it is a unique valuable source of information concerning breeding, puppy-rising, training, instructing new working pairs (visually disabled client with guide dog) and providing the necessary support services for such work pairs so the abilities of the guide dog as acquired during the training will be effectively used in practice.

AAny research projects concerning this topic which are realized by any member organization are presented during conferences organized every two years.
