Our colleague, Ivana Balážová, gained a scholarship for a one-year academic stay at Guide Dogs Victoria (GDV), Australia, thanks to the generous support of Mrs. Betty Amsden. One-year academic stays are offered by GDV to developing schools workers in two-year intervals, in order to give the participant the opportunity to gain skills and achieve the internationally respected qualification for guide dog trainer and instructor.

Ivana completed the year-long stay at GDV and returned to the Slovak Republic with the qualification as well as valuable experiences and information which will help us to proceed and improve the quality of our work.
